Surprise Snow Fall!

Happy New Year everyone! Our weather has been quite different than usual this time of year. Last winter, I believe we only got one day of snow and it rained the next day, so we didn't really get to enjoy it. So far, it's snowed a handful of times, which is different for BC weather, since our winters are usually quite mild. We're also expecting to get snow again this weekend, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. It started snowing NYE, so Chase and I decided to head down the street New Years day and whip around in the gator (I was frozen by the end of it, since it doesn't have any protection from the wind and not necessarily something you take out during the winter...lol).

In terms of snow gear, I don't own much, and wasn't really prepared for these photos. I actually had a few different outfits planned to shoot, but since it started to snow, I couldn't necessarily go out in flats.. lol! The jacket I got a few years ago, and it's become a staple in my winter wardrobe. I think a good parka is an essential for winter; especially if you get a lot of snow or rain where you live. The camel scarf I purchased from Zara and the Hunter boots were also a recent buy.

After eyeing down a pair of Hunters for the longest time, I finally bought a pair boxing day weekend (whoot, whoot - 15% off!). Since it rains here so often, I find myself reaching for my rain boots more often then I'd like to. The ones I currently own are Micheal Kors. They're amazing quality and super comfortable, however I find them to be a bit too big around the calves. The reason I opted for Hunter boots was because they're much more narrow and have an adjustable back (on some). Of course, they're also SUPER comfortable and stylish for a rain boot! I would suggest sizing down half a size.

Stay blissful! :-)
